Archaeology in Local Context Workshops are organised by SARAT Project in various Turkish cities to discuss the local social and economic contributions of archaeological assets, and how to enhance these contributions.
Archaeology in Local Context Workshops were held in Burdur, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Tunceli, Kırklareli and Nevşehir from September to November 2019.
In these talks, the participants were presented the results of the Survey on the Relations Between Society and Archaeology carried out by SARAT Project, and there were debates on what concrete steps to take in order to safeguard the archaeological heritage.
